December 2010 Part 1

As a parent I have realized a few things. One is that if you think you have five minutes to yourself...you better plan on spending the next 30 minutes cleaning something up. (This was a styrofoam packing mold for Christmas decor)
After I saw the mess I went looking for the culprit....caught red handed.

Ellia and Hailey having a tea party!

In Early December we decided we better use my free Disneyland pass and planned a trip there with some friends of our that Jeremy knows through work.

We got to Disneyland a little after it opened and were pleased to see a celebrity right away.

We met Micah, Ginger and Violet and jumped started the day with the jungle cruise...our first adventure.

Our friends Ginger and Baby Violet.

Being shy for pictures. Plus this was one of our first rides and I don't think she was warmed up yet!

I guess dad wasn't warmed up yet either.

We had dinner in toon town and that was pretty much the most fun Ellia had up to that point...it was all those doors just her size!

There's one thing I want to know...where do they store all this holiday stuff?

This became Ellia favorite ride so I'm glad we made it on (it was our last ride). We only waited over an hour and of course she wanted to go on it again...and cried when we denied her.

As we were trying to beat the crowd leaving we were pleasantly surprised with fake snow...that SEEMED so real I thought it was a snow machine...then we discovered it was soap! Man Disneyland really is magic!

What a night! (Micah's mom also came so we did some rotations and the adults got to go on some rides too...which always makes it even more fun! - even though I never would have guessed how much fun it is to just take your kids and watch THEM enjoy it!)

Remade the entertainment center to fit the new TV and managed to decorate it too!

Opening Grandma Laura and Grandpa Jeff's Christmas prep packages.

Ellia's very own Christmas tree complete with pink lights! Thanks Grandma Laura

yep...they melt in your mouth.

After an exciting, fast paced day of Stake Flag Football, what do Highland Manor Young Men become?

Champs!

Ah the rewards!

For Brooklyn's birthday present, Ellia and I took her and her mom to see Tangled at the El Capitan Theater in Hollywood.
After the movie credits, but before the show, there was a really fun song and dance performance.

Of course the girls were so excited to see all the princesses.

Santa's workshop at the Grove.

A few days later Brooklyn had friends over for a fairy themed party, all the girls wore cute handmade tutu's, headbands and had fun matching wands.
Yay mom! My hair is finally long enough for a new hairdo!

We have been trying to teach Ellia the appropriate places to wipe hands and noses, guess she hasn't gotten it yet.

(nose if you can't tell)
