December

We started out the month having Jeremy's scouts over to make gingerbread houses, of course Ellia loved this, SO many treats!

It wore Ashlyn right out though.

Christmas outfits.

Ellia decided to use my eyeliner.

When we worked on potty training we read lot's of stories, so here's Ellia reading to her dolly.

Sisters

Ellia is very impressionable right now. Here she is with her grocery cart loaded just like we have to load at the grocery store. I was sitting at the table working on something when she came up behind me and said, "bye mom," I turned around around and she gave me a kiss and hug, had keys in one hand and the other hand on this cart, with two dollies.
For Christmas we took the trip to Utah again this year. Here is the nativity with Jer's family. Opening presents and saying our thank you's.As a delayed anniversary (and a little break from the work of two kids) Jer and i stayed overnight in a cabin at Daniel's Summit Lodge. We got to enjoy a snowstorm and small snowshoe trip - and so did Ashlyn!

Ellia and I went with my family to see the Zermatt ice sculptures.

Christmas morning. I was up at 5 a.m. with Ashlyn when I got a horrible pain in my back, I tried everything, an icy hot pack, tylenol, etc. etc. but nothing was helping, I really didn't want to miss out on Christmas morning with the kids, but my last option seemed to be a trip to the hospital, fortunatly the pain was subsiding as we were about to start opening stockings and presents.

Me trying to enjoy the festivities as the pain was coming back
Me just before Jer took me to the emergency room. (The pain was from my first kidney stone)
Later Christmas day, although I was pretty drugged and could hardly keep my eyes open we went to my parents house for another nativity, Ellia got to be an angel again.Once again we were VERY spoiled. For the remainder of our vacation, Jer got to fish a ton...ice fish, pond fish, river fish, you name it.

While pond fishing, his little sister and cousin wanted to see what was in this trap...boy were they surprised when they got sprayed!

We also go to take the girls sledding on a gorgeous day in the mountains.

Best of all, Ellia got to spend lot's of time with family...here is a cousin movie night, just like I remeber having.
