February 2014

While asking around for activities to incorporate into Mandeville Unplugged, I was informed of this gem.  A free indoor playland, big enough for mom's to help their kids into!

Makayla's Frozen birthday party!  Tons of fun, with cute food, a dance off and make your own bracelet activities.

Not excited to go to school on Valentines day.
Another fun spot at the indoor playland.
While Dad's are away, mom's get together and play!  Pizza, pretzels, popsicles, punch and pink and purple princess impromptu dinner!

 ...and it's Mardi Gras time!!

3 parades in one afternoon (and then Jeremy stayed for a few more!) ...now that's what I call a party day!  The next weekend we went to the local Mandeville parade and were rewarded with this beauty!
King Cake tasting party!  The winner was Kendyl's homemade one...now I need to have her teach me how! I think there were about seven different ones there. I really like the pecan praline from Sam's Club too. Butter crisp was also pretty high up on my list - and I am definitely partial to cream cheese or Bavarian cream stuffed.
Cake for Elisa's baby shower.
She's getting big...big enough to climb up to the table and dump out the cereal.
Refinished this dresser just in time for my parents visit. Just can't decide how or if I should replace the bottom pulls...
Tiny Tumbler's Mardi Gras Parade!  When I asked if Ashlyn could ride her trike the teachers responded with, "you don't have a wagon?"  I didn't realize quite how serious the parade was going to be!  It was fun for her to ride the trike though, the crowd suggested she was a motorcycle rider.

She really had fun throwing beads.
Especially to dad and Quincy.
Picture day!  Of course her hair has grown a ton since our trial run and now it is just falling in her face....she is still super cute though!

although a little unruly for pictures.
the crowd trying to get her to smile.
A little fishing after the stress of pictures.  It was a beautiful day.

Quincy just wanted to throw rocks in...she got really good at it!

Playing games together.

Young Men Bike Ride.

Excellent....baby snakes under our patio.
KING CAKE!!!!!

Setting up for first mardi gras parade (sorry these are out of order). I had a women's conference in New Orleans so Jeremy took the girls to the Madisonville Boat Parade.

He said it was nice because he didn't have to hold the girls up to catch the beads.

Fishing Louisiana style...on the back of a big tortoise.

Ellia is the best fisher in the family so far.
Decorating our back yard.
Day at the parades.

Visiting a horse farm with Breedloves.
