This month we took a trip to Disneyland!!! Dad wasn't happy about the matching but the girls LOVED it!
We went straight to fantasy land to try to avoid lines later in the day, and just like last time, Dumbo was the favorite.
One of my favorites is Storybook Land.
The girls were enthralled with the maps, and constantly checking them.
We took a little break while riding the train around the park, I think that was the first time I've ever ridden it.
Since we had park hopper passes, we also spent some time at California adventures. Bug's Life land was very popular and then Ellia got brave while Ash was taking a nap and went on the huge ferris wheel, soarin over california and even splash mountain.
Oh, she went on this drop ride ride too. she was however, TERRIFIED in the 3-D bug movie! I told her to take off the glasses when she got scared, but that didn't help when the spiders came out of the ceiling - she screamed a very horrified scream, threw the glasses and climed up on me. Oops.
best catch of the day!
Watching the parade.
Ash taking pictures with Dad's phone.
The next day we went to a beach called, Little Corona Del Mar. It was perfect for what we had in mind. The girls played so well together, there were tide pools, a sandy beach, and a stream inlet to play in.
We decided to take a walk across the rocks and it was harder to balance than I expected...especially carrying the kids and wearing flip flops...but it was great scenery (see the arch?)
While I took a rest, dad built an awesome sand castle with the girls.
Then Lia was wiped out.
For a preschool field trip, the Peanut Butter n Jelly kids got to tour Costco.
It was really interesting and they were all so nice to us! We got a bag and added a treat eat place we stopped, and then they fed us pizza and drinks.
Straight after field trip we headed to Ella's Cowgirl birthday party.
How funny! I just realized the tiny hat behind her head!
Ash likes to squat when I try to take her picture for some reason.
Ellia wanted to take pictures too...I'm glad she did!
We went to get a professional picture done and while I was still waiting for it to develop and get my prints, dad ran home and had a photo shoot of his own with the girls to give me a picture for Valentines.
What me and the girls woke up to on V-day! How sweet!
The cake I made that night in my cake class.
Ellia and Ashlyn especially like that I am taking the class because they get to play with the leftovers.
I heard Ashlyn saying she was going to take off her diaper so I followed her voice and caught her posing in front the of heater.
The result of my next cake class.
Ashlyn is starting to earn stickers if she sits on the potty, well I must not be paying much attention because this time when I gave her the sticker and she took off I was confused. "Ashlyn, where are you going?" "put sticker on" "but your sticker chart is right here." "no on my row." So I follwed her into Ellia's room and sure enough she had started making her own row right on Ellia's wall.
Jeremy and I ran a 5k the young men put together in preperation for the hiking they'll be doing this summer. Well when Ashlyn realized she wasn't going to be participating she got really upset so I planned a little one kjust for the kids.
Poor Ellia was so excited she was warming up all over the place but when the race started she got pushed a little and stepped off the curb...she ended up crying the whole stretch, thanks to Nicole who took care of Ashlyn for me!!
I think Ashlyn was trying to show me something.
again with the squatting.
A practice cake.
TaDa my final cake class cake. It was actually really frustrating, I got the frosting all wrong and even after that forgot to color it pink, so I ended up having to spray it once we got there. I couldn't do a white Hello Kitty on a white cake.
Also this month, we drove to Glenvillethday party, (Ellia's second experience with a pinata did not go well - she just isn't great with quick start assertive things I guess.) The girls got to go to a Valentine party at NOR preschool, I got to go eat at Sequioa with Stephanie as part of our first mom's lunch out, and a firetruck visited Ellia at Sister Ricks Preschool.
